To delete a group on Facebook, you must be the group’s admin. Here’s how you can do it as of my last knowledge update in September 2021:
Delete a Facebook group you admin for mobile phone.
1. Open Facebook: Log in to your Facebook account.
2. Access the Group: Go to the group you want to delete. You can find your groups on the left sidebar of your Facebook homepage.
3. Group Settings: Click on the group’s name to enter the group. Then, click on the three dots (more options) located below the cover photo on the right side.
4. Edit Group Settings: In the dropdown menu, select “Edit Group Settings.”
5. Members: Scroll down to the Members section in the Group Settings.
6. Remove Members: You’ll need to remove all members from the group before you can delete it. To remove a member, click the gear icon next to their name and select “Remove from Group.” Repeat this for all members until no one is left in the group except you.
7. Leave Group: Once you’ve removed all members, you’ll notice that you are the only member left. Now, click on the three dots again (more options) and select “Leave Group.”
8. Confirm Deletion: Facebook will ask you to confirm that you want to leave the group and delete it. Confirm the deletion.
Please remember that when you delete a group, all the group’s content, including posts, photos, and files, will be permanently removed, and this action is usually irreversible. So, make sure you back up any important information or content before proceeding.
Also, Facebook’s interface and features may change over time, so if you can’t find these options, it’s a good idea to check Facebook’s Help Center or support resources for the most up-to-date instructions.
